Ingredients For aloha chippers

  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 Tbsp
    dark rum or water
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    vanilla or white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c
    coconut, flaked
  • 1/2 c
    coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
  • flaked coconut

How To Make aloha chippers

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or leave ungreased.

    Cream butter, sugars, egg, rum, vanilla, baking soda and salt in large bowl until light and fluffy.

    Blend in flour until dough is smooth and stiff.

    Stir in semisweet and white chocolate chips, 1/2 the coconut and macadamia nuts.

    Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto cookie sheets. Sprinkle tops with additional coconut.

    Bake 8-10 minutes or until firm in center. Do not overbake. Remove to wire racks to cool.
