ALMOND CRECENT COOKIES, a CHRISTMAS DELIGHT.

If you have time to bake only one batch of delicious cookies this year for Christmas, make sure it is this one !
Almond Cresents are everything a Christmas Cookie should be.
Buttery. With a delicate almond flavor and an interesting shape.
And very easy to do.
- 1 pkg
- (10 oz.) or 2 cups blue diamond whole natural almonds
- 1-1/4 c
- 1/4 c
- white sugar
- 1 c
- butter.....slightly softened.....or room temperature.
- 1 tsp
- vanilla extract
- 1 c
- powdered sugar.........optional, but nice.
Then into rolls (ABOUT 3-1/2 INCHES LONG)
Then form into crecents.
Press tops into chopped almonds.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 350 F. oven 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
Cool on pan about 10 minutes.
While still warm, roll into powdered sugar, if desired.
Makes 25-30 delicious cresents.
Presentation of cokies is always important.
So be sure to use your most beautiful serving plate or platter.
I have served them with a small Santa Clause ornament in the middle of the platter.
Even a small snowman,or an angel...
Makes it look so festive!!
