Ingredients For addictive chocolate cookies

  • 8 oz
    semi-sweet baking chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 4 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 2/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pkg
    semi-sweet chocolate chunks

How To Make addictive chocolate cookies

    Preheat oven to 350º. Heat chopped chocolate and butter in a microwave safe dish for 20 second increments, stirring in between, until almost melted. Do not overheat.

    In another bowel sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.

    In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, brown sugar and vanilla on high until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low and add in melted chocolate. Mix together and then add flour mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chunks.

    Drop heaping tablespoons of dough 2 to 3 inches apart onto baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Rotate cookie sheets part way through baking. Bake until cookies are shiny and crackly yet soft in centers. Do not over bake these cookies. They are meant to be soft and chewy. About 12 to 15 minutes.

    Cool cookies on cooling rack on parchment paper. Cool completely before storing in air tight container.
