These are, by far, the BEST chocolate chip cookies I have ever had. I came up with the recipe about 8 years ago and my husband, Aaron, for whom they are named, can't resist them! They stay soft for days after you bake them.....and they're irresistible fresh out of the oven. The best part is, you use whole wheat flour!
In a medium size mixing bowl, cream together Crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk, and honey until smooth. Add flour and baking soda and mix. It will be thick. Then add the chocolate chips and coarsely chopped nuts (optional).
Take dough into your hands and make chunks, approx. 2 inches large. Put them, 2 inches apart, on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute before removing to cool.
