Vanessa "Nikita"'s Notes:

I love to bake. 1 of the first things I learned to bake was a sugar cookie. Now I have recipes from a simple sugar cookie to fancy holiday cookies. I think the end of every long work or school week or even day can be mae better with a cookie.

Directions

1
Preheat the oven to 375F. Then beat the butter & sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add in the egg 7 mix well.
2
Then add in the flour, oats, nbaking soda & cinnamon. Beat on low speed just until belnded. Then stir in the chocolate & raisins.
3
Drop a level tablespoonfuls of the dough onto a ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
4
Bake for about 9 mins or until lightly browned. Cool on the cookie sheet for about 2 mins. Then remove & place on a wire rack. Cool completely. Store in a tightly covered container at room temperature.

Special Tip: You may use 1- 1/2 cups BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks in place of the chopped chocolate.

I have made this cookie many times with many varations...like to put in cranberries instead of raisins or both in the dough. Have made them with dates too...crushed nuts.
I love using the chocolate chunks as you get a bigger bite of chocolate in each bite.
