A christmas time favorite. It was always a good time getting together as a family to make n' decorate these cookies.

Ingredients For sandtart cookies

  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 4 c
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour

How To Make sandtart cookies

    Mix eggs, butter, n' sugar together
  • 2
    Mix flour in
  • 3
    cover dough n' place in frig. for 12 hrs.

    you must work w/ cold dough so only take out small amounts at a time
  • 5
    lightly flour your counter first, then roll out dough (I always prefer the dough to be rolled out thin) n' cut w/ your favorite cookie cutters (you may lightly dust the top of dough when rolling out to prevent sticking)

    place on cookie tray, place christmas sugars on top( you may use a egg wash to keep sugars in place.. I think it changes the flavor slightly though)

    bake @ 300-325 degrees until slightly brown( they will burn fast)
