yes Hilary Coffman we also did the alternating mixes, it came out great! EVERYONE loved it! Our only problem was we made it in my sisters roaster/crock pot and it has a metal pot so our problem was the butter and flour we coated it w singed and we ended up baking it in the oven! I'm going to try making it in my ceramic crock pot and see if that works any better!

Ladies, I googled the original recipe and made it tonight, it looked just like the picture. You mix your brownie mix, 1/4 cup melted butter and 2 eggs in one bowl, mix your chocolate chip mix with 1/4 cup melted butter and 2 eggs in one bowl, spray your crock pot and then alternate your mixes in your crock pot, cook on high 2 hours. It looked just like the picture and tasted so yummy!!!

I made this and mine too looked like a big brownie in a crock pot. It took the center for ever to cook then it was kind of like an over done brownie. I am going to try it again and not mix in the choc chip cookies package until after I mix up the other ingrediants then try swirling it in??? Because the picture looks awesome~~~

I just made this tonight. Followed directions perfectly, cooked on low for 3 hrs. Unlike the picture, which looks like cookie and brownie...mine looks like a big brownie. Outside area is like brownie cake (tastes great in spite of being slightly burned in some spots) but middle is still mushy. Any idea what went wrong and does yours always look like part cookie and part brownie?

Mine has been in the crockpot going on 4 hours (on high for the last hour)! We just ended up eating the sides and letting the middle finish cooking. Mine looks like a brownie...unlike the picture. It was good...just not as good as I was expecting.
