Chocolate Syrup Brownies (microwave version)

These tempting chocolate brownies have a mild chocolate flavor. They are very easy to prepare, yet specially delicious.

Microwave setting: HIGH 100%

Microwave cooking time: about 12 minutes

REMEMBER: Shield top corners of dish with foil triangles to assure even cooking.

REMEMBER: Turn dish a half turn after each 3 minutes if your microwave oven is not a rotating one.

16 to 18 brownies


1/2 c
3/4 c
1 dash(es)
1 c
all purpose flour
3/4 c
chocolate-flavored syrup, canned
2 tsp
vanilla extract
3/4 c
chopped walnuts or pecans

1Cream together butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.

2Add eggs, one at a time. Add salt.

3Stir in chocolate syrup, flour and vanilla. Add nuts and stir to blend well.

4Turn into greased and lightly floured 8-inch square microsafe pan or dish.

5Microwave at HIGH power for about 3 minutes. Let rest for 3 minutes.

6Microwave at HIGH power for another 3 minutes and let rest for 3 minutes.

7Finally microwave at HIGH power for 2 more minutes or until batter is set and done to your liking.

8Let rest in pan for a couple of minutes or until almost cool.

9Cut into squares. Remove from pan and garnish with nuts or powdered sugar.
