Ingredients For light chocolate malt desserts

  • 1/2 c
    malted milk powder
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp
    espresso powder, instant
  • 2 c
    milk, skim
  • 2 oz
    semi-sweet baking chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c
    cool whip, light
  • 6
    malted milk balls, chopped
  • 6
    maraschino cherries

How To Make light chocolate malt desserts

    In a small saucepan, combine the first 5 ingredients. Stir in milk until smooth. Cook & stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil; cook 1 - 2 minutes longer or until thickened. Remove from the heat; stir in chocolate & vanilla until smooth.

    Transfer to six dessert dishes, about 1/3 C in each. Cover & refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

    Garnish each serving with 2 Tbsp cool whip, 1/2 tsp chopped malted milk balls & a cherry.
