Take wooden scewer and pierce raw bacon and lace it onto scewer. Use whole piece or you could cut in half to make these smaller. Place cookie rack on top of baking sheet, place bacon on top of rack. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool. Leave on scewers.
Melt white candy coat, chocolate chips, and shortening; stirring well. Either dip or brush on chocolate mixture, cover all of bacon. Place on wax paper to dry.
To fancy these up sprinkle what ever you want to decorate on them, colored sugar, candy, or one of my favorites is a little cayenne.
Refridgerate. Can serve at room temp. but watch that chocolate doesn't begin to soften and of course remember the bacon, it's really good cold.
