Back in the 70's I went into a Topsy's, at the Antioch Shopping Center. There were these beautiful, "Twizzlers Sticks with Christmas Sprinkles".
They wanted $1.25 each for these things.
so I inquired as to how they made them. They told me that they were a Licorice Type Candy and rolled in Almond Bark.
First I had ever heard of Almond Bark.
the rest is history. I bought Almond Bark and Twizzlers and thus created my own.
Far less than a $1.25 each. I buy my candies at the Dollar General.

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
What a cute tasty treat to keep on hand for the holidays! Package in clear cellophane bags and these would make a great party gift. I just see one problem... not eating them all before you give them to friends and family.

Ingredients

1 pkg
cherry, strawberry, twizzlers
1 pkg
vanilla almond bark
1 pkg
chocolate almond bark
2 jar(s)
Christmas sprinkles

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Open package of Twizzlers, then cut the lengths in half. Easier to handle and more for the plate. Your preference as to the size of the Twizzlers and choice of Pull and Peel or Regular.
2
Start with 4 individual blocks of Vanilla or Chocolate almond bark.
3
Microwave 1 minute and then 30 second intervals until melted.
4
It is good to have a second bowl and dump sprinkles into - assembly line style.
5
Work quickly with the Twizzlers by rolling them in the almond bark mixture.
6
Now take the Twizzlers and roll in Christmas sprinkles and lay on aluminum lined cookie sheet until set. They are beautiful and do not last long around a crowd. The kids love them.
