My great great grandfather was a candy maker in Ireland. His favorite thing to do, after coming to America was to have a Taffy Pull. The recipe has been passed down. My granddaughters love to come visit and Pull Taffy. They will be able to pass the recipe to their children.

As the candy cools, pull from the corners of the pan, to the center to allow more cooling. When candy is cool enough to pick up, it can be pulled between 2 people or use a hook over a door to allow one person to pull. This is shown in the picture above. Pull till the candy turns pure white.
