Ingredients

1/2 c
butter
2 c
sugar
2 c
light karo syrup
1/4 tsp
salt
1 can(s)
evaporated milk
1 Tbsp
vanilla extract
nuts optional

Step-By-Step

1In 2.5 quart sauce pan, add the butter, karo, sugar and salt.

2Bring to boil @ 250 F, on a candy thermometer.

3Add VERY SLOWLY the can of milk. Slowly will keep at boiling temp.

4Bring temp. to 245-250 again.

5Remove from heat.

6Stir in vanilla, and (nuts if desired)

Pour in buttered pan, let cool completly

7Wrap in wax paper or celliphane.
