Kathy's 1-2-3 Caramel

Who Knew! I've never heard of anything so EASY as this! My friend Kathy shared her recipe for caramel. I opened the can for the first time in front of my friends and was it ever delicious! We immediately began dunking slices of apples into the can.

Her mother would open the can, divide it between 3 buttered plates, sprinkle with pecans and let chill. Then roll them into logs or around nougat. I love that Kathy say's there is only one ingredient, no real cooking, and no dishes to clean up!

I'm using mine today in Pat's Ice Cream with Apple Pie Filling.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

1 can(s)
sweetened condensed milk

Directions Step-By-Step

Do not use the pop-top lid kind of can. Make sure you use the kind you have to open with a can opener.

1. Place unopened can of sweetened condensed milk in the Crockpot.

2. Add water to cover the top of the can. Cook on low overnight or 8 hours.
