When the kids were little I had to send snacks for snack day at school when it came our time...I used to popcorn and have my old maid hunters do their job...then I would sprinkle Jello over the popcorn, but I got to thinking about adding it to my marshmallow popcorn balls...They are pretty good I must say....this has a flavor all its own
Place a Medium to large bag of popcorn (pre-popped) into a large pot. If you do not have a pot you may wash your sink good and dry it good to use it.
In a dutch oven, put butter and marshmallows and food color into pan. Turn heat to medium and stir constantly till marshmallows are all melter starting to bubble, sprinkle dry Jello in gradually mixing thoroughly . Pour over popcorn, stir into popcorn, mix good.
Grease your hands with the shortening real well and start making your popcorn balls by pressing in good and hard till firm about the size of a softball.
After you have finished you may put each one into a zip lock sandwich bag. Have fun and Enjoy......
