brent's chocolate coconut candies

My youngest son, Brent, loves coconut. I adapted a cookie dough recipe and came up with this recipe for him. Hope you enjoy it as much as he does.

Ingredients For brent's chocolate coconut candies

1 3/4 cpowdered sugar

1 3/4 cflaked coconut

1 cchopped almonds
-
1/2 csweetened condensed milk

2 c(12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips

2 Tbspshortening
How To Make brent's chocolate coconut candies

1In a large bowl, combine the powdered sugar, coconut, almonds and milk. Shape into 1 inch balls and regrigerate until firm. Approximatelly 20 minutes.

2In a microwave, melt the chips and shortening on high for about 1 minute; sitr. Microwave at additional 10 to 20 seconds until smooth.

3dip balls in the melted chocolate; allow the excess to drip off and place on waxed paper. Let stand until set and store in an airtight container.

4Tipp: You can also use chocolate or white bark if you want to. I have used both.
