Whole Wheat Vegan Banana Walnut Cake

Preheat oven to 300F and lightly grease a 9x9 glass baking pan.
Combine all dry ingredients except for the walnuts in a large mixing bowl and whisk until they are well-mixed.
Process the bananas in a food processor until smooth, then add oil, applesauce, and vanilla, processing until they are well mixed.
Fold the banana mixture into the dry mix, adding the almond milk one tablespoon at a time until you have reached the proper consistency. Fold in the walnuts (optional)
Transfer the batter into the pan and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is firm and a toothpick comes out clean.
