How To Make white sheet cake with salted peanut frosting
-
1To prepare the cake, bring butter and water to a boil in a small saucepan; remove pan from heat and let it cool while you prepare the remaining cake ingredients. In a large bowl, cream together eggs and sugar. Add sour cream and extract; mix well. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the butter/water mixture, mixing until batter is well blended.
-
2Pour batter into 10x15 baking sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 22 minutes, until cake top is barely golden brown and springs back when touched. Cool cake completely before frosting.
-
3To prepare frosting, melt butter in large bowl. Add powdered sugar, half-and-half and extract, mixing with electric mixer until smooth and spreadable (add more liquid if needed). Frost cooled cake. Sprinkle frosting with finely chopped salted peanuts.
