Ingredients For twinkie tiramisu

12twinkies, sliced 1/2 inch thick
-
cocoa powder, for garnish
- ESPRESSO SYRUP
-
1/3 cwater
-
1/2 csugar
-
2/3 cstrongly brewed espresso coffee
-
1/4 cbrandy(optional)
- MASCARPONE FILLING
-
1 1/2 cheavy whipping cream
-
1/3 csugar
-
2 tspvanilla
-
1 lbmascarpone cheese, at room temperature
How To Make twinkie tiramisu

1Espresso Syrup: Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat, cool, and add coffee and the brandy, if using.

2Mascarpone Filling: Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Fold cream into mascarpone.

3To assemble tiramisu:

4Line the bottom of a shallow 2-quart baking or gratin dish with half of the twinkie slices.

5Drizzle with half of the Espresso Syrup.

6Spread with half the Mascarpone Filling.

7Repeat steps with remaining ingredients.

8Smooth top with a metal spatula

9Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before serving. Sift cocoa to lightly dust the top of the tiramisu.
