Ingredients

CAKE

1 pkg
cake mix, chocolate fudge
3
eggs
1/3 c
vegetable oil
1 c
water
4 oz
sour cream
1 pkg
instant pudding, chocolate

GANACHE

1 1/3 c
heavy cream, whipped
1/4 c
butter
16 oz
60% cacao chocolate

CARAMEL

1 can(s)
evaporated milk (12 oz)
1 1/2 c
sugar
1 1/2 c
light corn syrup
6 Tbsp
butter
1 tsp
pure vanilla extract

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all of the ingredients together, pour into two cake pans and bake for 35 minutes. When done, set aside to cool.

CARAMEL:
Bring all ingredients (except vanilla) to a boil, stirring slowly. Keep it at a boil until it reaches soft ball stage. Use med-low heat and a pot that heats evenly. Once it is ready, pour into a buttered pan and set aside.

GANACHE:
Bring the cream and butter to a boil, pour over chocolate until smooth and all the chocolate is blended with the cream. Set aside and let cool.

ASSEMBLY:
Once everything is done, take one cake and place on a large plate or cake holder. Spread caramel over the cake and add pecans if desired. Place other cake on top and pour the ganache over the cake.
