triple chocolate snack cake

This is a recipe that I found in a Betty Crocker cookbook and put my own spin on it..... use whatever chips you have on hand, semi sweet, milk chocolate, white, peanut butter whatever you like....

Ingredients For triple chocolate snack cake

  • 1 2/3 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    sugar ( i use 1/2 brown & 1/2 white)
  • 1/4 c
    baking cocoa
  • 1/4 c
    chocolate syrup ( i used hershey's)
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/3 c
    oil
  • 1 tsp
    white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips
  • powdered sugar (optional)

How To Make triple chocolate snack cake

    Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2
    In ungreased 8x8 pan mix flour,sugar,baking soda, & salt with fork.

    Add remaining ingredients (except chocolate chips & powdered sugar) mix well making sure that you mix the corners well cause the flour mixture collects there. Spread in even layer in pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over cake. Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Remove from oven and let cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
