Strawberry Pecan Cake

This starts out using cake mix, pudding mix, and jello mix...and turns into a fancy 3-layer wonder that includes fresh strawberries. And as my granddaughters will tell you: IT'S PINK!!!!

duncan hines white cake mix
1 box
strawberry jello
1 box
vanilla instant pudding mix
1/2 c
cooking oil
1 stick
butter, softened
1/2 c
eggs, beaten
1 c
strawberries, chopped
1 c
pecans, chopped


16 oz
powdered sugar
1 stick
butter, softened
1/2 c
chopped strawberries
1/2 c
flaked coconut
1/2 c
pecans, chopped


Step 1 Direction Photo

1Mix together dry ingredients: cake mix, jello and pudding mix. Add oil, butter, milk and eggs.

2Wash and chop strawberries.

3Chop pecans.

4Add strawberries and nuts to cake batter.

5Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour three 9" cake pans. Divide batter into all pans, bake for 25-30 minutes. Give it some time to cool before frosting.

6Icing: mix together all ingredients. spread icing between, on sides and on top of cooled cake layers.

7Decorate with strawberry and pecan halves.
