Ingredients For spumoni brownies
- BROWNIES:

1 boxchewy fudge brownie mix or homemade

1/3 cpistachio nuts, shelled & chopped

12maraschino cherries, patted dry & chopped
- FROSTING:
-
1 cbutter, room temperature
-
3 cconfectioners' sugar
-
1 sm boxpistachio pudding
-
4 Tbspmilk
-
1 tspalmond extract
-
12maraschino cherries, patted dry & chopped (make sure they are dry)
-
2 dropsgreen food coloring
- GARNISH:
-
1/2 cpistachio nuts, chopped
-
stemed maraschino cherries
How To Make spumoni brownies

1Prepare brownie batter according to package (for cake-like brownies) & then add pistachios & cherries; mix well. Pour batter into 9" square pan. Bake 30 - 40 minutes. Cool completely.

2On medium high speed, beat butter until fluffy. In medium bowl combine powdered sugar & dry pudding mix; mix well. Gradually beat in sugar/pudding mixture into butter. Add milk, almond extract & food coloring until fluffy. Fold in cherries. Spread over cooled brownies.

3Sprinkle with chopped pistachios & stemmed cherries.
