Now that's a mouthful. Or shall I say, you'll have a mouthful of these cookies hot out of the oven.

Spice cake mix, cream cheese, butter, cinnamon chips and pecans! Does it get any better? And talk about easy to put together. This is another one of those throw together in a pinch recipes. It's also very versatile. You can use any kind of cake mix you want and either change up the mix-in's or leave them out completely. These are a play off the original "Gooey Butter Cookies" but I changed up the ingredients to fit what was in our pantry.

Ingredients

1 box
spice cake mix
1 stick
butter, room temp
1 pkg
8 oz. cream cheese, room temp
1 large
egg
1 c
cinnamon chips (found in chocolate chip isle)
1 c
pecans, chopped
1/4 tsp
vanilla extract

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and butter with a spoon until well blended. Stir in vanilla and egg.
2
Add cake mix; stir until well combined. Fold in cinnamon chips and pecans.
3
Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
4
Bake 10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Do NOT over bake or they will turn hard. Enjoy!
5
You can leave plain or frost with cream cheese frosting or drizzle with icing. I frosted mine with my Cream Cheese Pudding Cool Whip Frosting-Annette's.

LOL! I thought they looked so yummy! That's what got my attention! Love your M&M Bars too! I can't wait to try both of these! I'm always making treats to bring to work and my co workers give me thumbs up or down although I've never been given a thumbs down yet. Will definitely have to try both of these yummy treats! Thanks for posting them!

Maybe someone will get me a better picture taken too if they make them. The lighting on mine sucks. They look horrible I think. They were so much prettier and more appetizing looking in person.

Thanks Tammy. I don't mind at all. Great idea and concept for a cookbook. Thanks for wanting to add it to your next cookbook. I'm flattered. Did you see my other new recipe for Pudding Cake M&M Bars-Annette's? They are fabulous too and OH SO EASY to make. I mean EASY!!! You don't even barely have to wash the bowl.
