This is the best pound cake! The combination of the three flavorings is delicious. For years I wouldn't share this recipe with anyone. It was my signature dish for funerals, potlucks, parties, etc.

Ingredients

3 c
sugar
1/2 c
vegetable shortening
1 c
margarine or butter
5
eggs
1 c
sour cream
3 c
flour
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 c
milk
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 tsp
lemon extract
1 tsp
butter flavoring

Step-By-Step

1Preheat over to 325.
2Cream sugar with shortening and margarine.
3Beat in eggs and then sour cream.
4Combine flour and baking powder and add alternately with milk.
5Stir in vanilla and flavorings.
6Bake for 1-1/2 hours in a well-greased tube pan.
