s'mores cupcakes

My daughter Brittney turned 22 and graduated from college on the same day. I had a huge party for her and of course I baked all the goodies. Since I was baking for 50 people and had to set up the party pick up the food and keep it all a surprise lol I decided to make the cupcakes semi homemade! These came out amazing and noone could tell they started from a box. This was one of the three flavors I made, S'mores! YUM You can purchase the icing and the icing flavoring at your local grocery store in the baking supply aisle. The specialty sprinkles were purchased at PARTY CITY.

Ingredients For s'mores cupcakes

  • CUPCAKES
  • 1 box supermoist milk chocolate cake mix, with ingredients listed on box to make cake
  • 1/4 c crushed graham crackers
  • marshmallow ice cream topping
  • FROSTING
  • 1 can duncan hines frosting creations frosting starter
  • 1 envelope duncan hines frosting creations chocolate marshmallow flavor mix
  • duff goldman smores sprinkles
  • graham crackers cut in half

How To Make s'mores cupcakes

  • 1
    Preheat oven to degree listed on box. Line cupcake pan with liners.

    Make cake mix according to box directions.
  • 3
    Stir into batter the crushed graham crackers
  • 4
    Spoon batter into cupcake liners till 1/3 full. Add a dollop of marshmallow ice cream topping to each one making sure not to touch sides of liners. Then spoon remaining batter over marshmallow to completely cover and bake according to box.

    Once cupcakes are cool completely you can decorate them

    Open can of frosting starter and form a well in center with a spoon.

    Empty envelope of chocolate marshamllow flavor mix into frosting starter and stir till completely mixed. Frost the cupcakes

    Sprinkle each cupcake with smores sprinkles

    Add a graham cracker half to top of each one and watch them disappear! YUMMY

    Variation: If you dont want as much marshmallow you can ice with chocolate frosting and then add a halfed graham cracker and a hersheys kiss
