One of my very dear friends that I taught preschool with would bring this to share with the other teachers. Before she took it to the work room I would grab a piece. It is so good warm first thing in the morning.

Ingredients For shelly's amazing coffee cake

  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 Tbsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg
    instant vanilla pudding, 3.4oz
  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make shelly's amazing coffee cake

    TOPPING: combine brown sugar and cinnamon and set aside.

    Combine cake mix, pudding, oil, water, eggs and vanilla. Mix with electric mixer for 1 minute. Pour in a greased 9x13" cake pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350F of 58 to 60 minutes.

    GLAZE: combine powdered sugar and vanilla and a little milk and pour over cake while hot.
