Ingredients For rhubarb cake

  • 1/2 c
    butter or margerine
  • 1-1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    diced rhubarb
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon

How To Make rhubarb cake

  • 1
    Cream shortening, sugar, eggs....then alternate dry ingredient with milk. Add vanilla and rhubarb. Mix well, pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle the top of the batter with 1/2 cup white sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon mixed. Bake at 350 deg for 30 - 35 minutes.
