Ingredients For red velvet cheesecake bars

    double stuf original oreo cookies (about 2 c), finely crushed
  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 6 squares
    semi-sweet baking chocolate, divided
  • 3 - 8 oz. pkg
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • 1 bottle
    red food coloring

How To Make red velvet cheesecake bars

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Mix cookie crumbs & butter; press into bottom of 13 x 9" pan sprayed with cooking spray.

    Melt 4 chocolate squares as directed on package; pour into medium bowl. Set aside. Beat cream cheese, sugar & vanilla with mixer until well blended. Add eggs; beat just until blended. Remove 2 C batter; mix with melted chocolate & food coloring. Carefully spread over crust; cover with remaining plain batter.

    Bake 26 - 28 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool completely. Melt remaining chocolate; drizzlle over dessert. Refrigerate 4 hours.

    TO SERVE: Cut chilled dessert into 1 1/2" squares.
