I love to play with my Mama's pound cake recipe and this one was divine! The sauce can be played with - seasoned to your taste - and is even delicious when pecans are substituted and poured over a pumpkin pie! My finicky sister, who never compliments my cooking, said this was the best cake I've ever made!
