Ingredients

2 1/3 c
all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp
baking powder
3/4 tsp
salt
3/4 c
+ 3 tablespoon sugar
1 stick
butter, softened
3/4 c
milk
2 large
eggs

or 10 fresh plums pitted and halved
2 tsp
cinnamon, ground

TOPPING

1 c
all purpose flour
1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
butter, cold cubed

Directions Step-By-Step

Lightly coat a 13"x9" pan with cooking spray. Heat oven to 350F degrees. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and 3/4 cup sugar. Add 1/2 cup softened butter, milk and eggs. Beat at medium speed 4 minutes.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Place plums on top, cut side up, pushing down slightly into batter. Combine cinnamon and remaining sugar; sprinkle over plums.

TOPPING:

In small bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over top.

Bake about 45 minutes or until a toothpick come out clean.

( I bake little bit longer to get the topping turn golden. )

Let the cake cool in the pan so the plum juices will be reabsorbed to create a moist cake. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Cut and serve.
