I got this recipe from a friend.Its a little different but if you like pecan pie you will fall in love with this cake. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients For pecan pie cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1/3 c
    oil
  • FILLING
  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    margarine or oleo
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    white karo syrup

How To Make pecan pie cake

  • 1
    Mix cake mix, 1 egg and 1/3 cup of oil. When mixed press into 13x9 greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Save the cake for the filling which is then poured on top of the cake and then cotinue to bake until finished.

    Mix eggs, sugar, margarine, pecans, vanilla, and syrup. When combined well pour in partially baked cake and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until center is set. Cool before cutting.
