Cream together sugar and oil. Add eggs one at at ime, mixing well after each. Set aside
Sift flour with cinnamon, salt and soda, 3 times then add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla, mix. Add coconut, dates, pecans and pears - stirring by hand.
Pour into greased and floured bundt or tube pan. Bake at 325 for 1.5 - 2 hours until cake tests done with wooden toothpick. Cool on rack at least 15 minutes in pan then turn out and cool completely.
