This is my own twist on the popular whoopie pies.

makes approx 18 whoopie pies

Ingredients

CAKE PART

1 box
cake mix, chocolate fudge

FILLING

2 c
milk
10 Tbsp
flour
1 stick
crisco
1/2 c
butter
1 1/3 c
sugar
1 1/4 c
peanut butter

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cake rounds: Prepare cake mix according to package directions with the exception of the water/milk required. Use approximately 1/4 less water than required. My mix required 1 1/3 cups water and i used 1 cup.

Filling: Mix together milk and flour in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until mixture thickens and resembles mashed potatoes. Set aside to cool.

Once mixture is cooled, cream together Crisco, butter, sugar, peanut butter and cooled mixture.

Beat on high speed for approximately 5 mins. The filling will be fluffy and a light tan color.
