Debbie's StoryI found a similar recipe when my boys were small. We usually made it with Cherry Pie Filling and no nuts. One day we didn't have Cherry and decided to try the Peach. It was great! Of course we like it with any kind of pie filling especially since it's easy and quick to put together. I've adjusted it over the years and this is our favorite!
1 box yellow cake mix
2 cans peach pie filling
1 20 oz can crushed pineapples (undrained)
1 stick butter (melted)

1/2 cup pecan pieces
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Open and dump the 2 cans of peach pie filling and the undrained crushed pineapples into 9 x 13 inch cake pan.
2Sprinkle box of dry yellow cake mix over the pie filling and pineapples.
3Melt 1 stick of butter or margarine and drizzle over the top. Sprinkle pecan pieces over cake.
4Bake at 350 degrees for about 35-45 minutes. Check to see if it's bubbly and setting up. You may substitute any pie filling you choose. Cherry, blueberry or apple are great too! Enjoy!

I only have 1 can of peach pie filling. Will I be able to use only 1 can and then still add the 1 can of crushed pineapple or do you tbink I should add some extra liquid??? I will take any suggestions. Thank you

Rosanne, I am so sorry that I am just now getting to see your question! I do apologize. I think one can would be fine. I think I've done this before and didn't use any extra liquid. I am sure you may have tried it out by now but let me know!
