If you've had a good look at most of my recipes you could probably figure out that I'm from a large family, 8 brothers and 3 sisters (making a grand total of 12 kids in one house)! This recipe is large enough to accommodate a hungry crowd at breakfast time...

Ingredients For pancakes for 12 hungry boys

  • 8 lg
    eggs
  • 1 stick
    butter, softened
  • 8 c
    flour
  • 8 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • FOR BANANA PANCAKES
  • 8
    over-ripe bananas
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • FOR BLUEBERRY PANCAKES
  • 2 1/2 c
    blueberries, fresh or frozen (thawed)

How To Make pancakes for 12 hungry boys

    In large bowl, beat eggs well.

    Add butter and milk, mix well.

    In another bowl, combine sugar, baking powder and salt.

    Add sugar mixture to egg mixture and stir till everything is well blended.

    If using bananas; peel and mash bananas.
  • 6
    Mix cinnamon into banana mash and stir mash into pancake batter.

    Add flour, mixing between each cup. Blend thoroughly.

    Cook on hot griddle or skillet.

    If using blueberries, sprinkle berries onto pancake batter of each pancake after you've poured the batter onto the griddle/skillet.
