1Preheat oven to 400F..grease inside 9 inch springform pan..remove side....Make crust.in medium combine flour, sugar, lemon peel and vanilla..make well in center and with fork blend in butter and yolk, mix with fingers until smooth..form one half of dough into a ball place was paper on bottom of springform pan place ball of dough on top of paper and with rolling pin rollout dough to cover bottom of pan. bake 6 to 8 minutes or til golden..cool..divide other ball of dough into 3 parts..cut wax paper 4 inches wide and 9 inches long place one piece of dough, cover with wax paper and roll out to 9 inches do this to end up with 3 strips..assemble the pan by clipping the sides to the bottom..wrap strips of dough around sides of pan overlapping to cover entire side of pan..the strips should be 3 by 9 inches..
2Preheat oven to 450F....make filling....In large mixer blend the cheese,sugar,flour, peels and vanilla at high speed. beat in eggs and yolks one at a time and beat til smooth,,beat in cream and beat for 3 minutes..pour uinto prepared pan..bake 10 minutes lower oven to 250F and bake 1 hour longer remove to wire rack to cool.
3GLAZE....Combine sugar and cornstarch put into small saucepan and remaining ingredients bring to boil reduce and cook for 2or 3 minutes or until thickened andtranslucent.cool.
4Spread surface of cake with the glaze and refrigerate until well chilled 3 hours or overnight... to serve loosen and remove side of pan and with spatula carefully slide it under cake and remove it from bottom of pan to serving platter..garnish with 2 sliced strawberries placed on center of cake...enjoy after all this work..it is well worth the effort.
