Ingredients

CAKE INGREDIENTS :

1/2 c
(1 cube ) butter
1 1/2 c
sugar

eggs
2 1/2 c
sifted flour
2 tsp
soda
1 can(s)
(no. 2 ) crushed pineapple ; not drained
coconut icing below

COCONUT ICING INGREDIENTS :

1 1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
(1 cube) butter
1 c
evaporated milk
1 can(s)
( 1-1/3 cup ) flaked coconut
1 c
chopped nuts

Directions Step-By-Step

FOR THE CAKE :

Cream butter and sugar ; Beat in one egg at a time.

Sift flour and soda ; Add to creamed mixture , alternately with crushed pineapple.

Turn into a greased 9x13" pan.

Bake @ 350° for 30-35 minutes until cake tests done.

Cool cake then frost with icing.

FOR ICING :

Mix together sugar , butter and 1 cup evaporated milk in a sauce pan ; boil until thick , about 15 minutes.

Remove from heat ; stir in coconut and nuts.
