This recipe came from a friend of my uncle's who bragged about it on Facebook last night. We all took too much bragging and wanted the recipe. Hope yawl enjoy it.

Ingredients

3 c
sugar
3 c
flour (cake flour)
1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
4 Tbsp
cocoa
1/2 lb
butter (2 sticks)
1/2 c
crisco
1 c
sweet milk
5 large
eggs
1 tsp
vanilla

Step-By-Step

1Sift dry ingredients, adding a little at a time to the creamed butter and Crisco, along with a little milk, and one egg at a time, until well blended.

2Grease and flour cake pan. Bake at 275-300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR UNTIL BAKING TIME IS UP!
