1 pkgbutter cake mix, divided [we use duncan hines]

2 Tbspbrown sugar

2 tspcinnamon

1 cpecans or walnuts, finely chopped

4eggs

1/3 coil
-
1/4 cwater
-
1/4 csugar
-
1 cconfectioners' sugar
-
1 OR 2 Tbspmilk
How To Make mom's sock-it-to-me coffee-cake

1PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 DEGREES

2GREASE AND FLOUR A 10 INCH TUBE PAN OR BUNDT PAN.

3STREUSEL FILLING:

4COMINE 2 TBSP. CAKE MIX, BROWN SUGAR AND CINNAMON... STIR IN NUTS... SET ASIDE

5CAKE:
-
6MIX CAKE MIX, EGGS, SOUR CREAM, OIL, WATER AND GRANULATED SUGAR IN A BOWL.

7BEAT AT MEDIUM SPEED FOR 2 MINUTES.

8POUR TWO-THIRDS OF BATTER INTO PAN.

9SPRINKLE STREUSEL FILLING NOW OVER THE BATTER.

10SPOON REMAINING BATTER EVENLY OVER THE FILLING.

11BAKE FOR 45-55 MINUTES OR UNTIL A TOOTHPICK INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN.

12COOL IN PAN 20 MINUTES; INVERT ONTO SERVING PLATE. COOL COMPLETELY.

14COMBINE CONF.SUGAR AND MILK IN A BOWL. STIR UNTIL SMOOTH. DRIZZLE OVER CAKE.
