Ingredients For mom/grandma's almond tea cake

  • 1 stick
    butter(not margarine)
  • 1 stick
    margarine(not butter)
  • cream the above. gradually add:
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • cream well. then add:
  • 1
    whole egg.
  • mix well. then add:
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • mix and add:
  • 2 c
    flour

How To Make mom/grandma's almond tea cake

  • 1
    Pour in greased and floured 9" inch round cake pan. Smooth the top with damp fingers. Brush top with egg white and pour off excess when done. Sprinkle with sliced almonds if desired.

    Bake 10 min. in preheated 400 degree oven. Then reduce over to 350 degrees and bake for an additional 25 min.
