granulated sugar
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 Tbsp
melted butter

Whisk together the first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl.

Add remaining ingredients to the dry and stir just until moistened well.

Drop by spoonful in a steady 350^ temperature pan of canola oil. Fry until golden.
Remove and drain on paper toweling.

Dip in powdered sugar glaze or shake in a cinnamon/sugar mixture;or just eat them plain.
