Ingredients

CAKE
1 box	white cake mix
1 box	strawberry gelatin (small box)
1 c	oil
1/2 c	milk
4	eggs
1 c	mashed sweetened strawberries (not drained)
FROSTING
1 stick	butter, softened
1 lb	box of powdered sugar
1/2 c	mashed strawberries, drained

This is a very moist cake! If I close my eyes while eating it, the aroma almost makes me feel as though I'm eating fresh strawberries. There's no better endorsement than that!

Directions

CAKE: Mix all cake ingredients together and pour into a 9x11 inch pan. (You can layer in 2 smaller pans if you'd prefer.) Do not fill to the top of the pan, or batter will bake up too tall.

Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

FROSTING: Mix together frosting ingredients. (It's very important that strawberries are drained.) If too thick keep adding strawberries until it is the right consistency.

Hi Wanda, this cake has been in my family for yrs also. We luv it, in the icing we also add cream cheese, softened. The best strawberry cake ever made!

I made this cake yesterday. it is the best strawberry cake i have ever had. Extremely moist and delicious. I did use cream cheese in the frosting, it was fabulous! Thanks Mama Seward, and thanks Wanda for posting it!

Just joined the group today. I have a friend at work that makes this cake and she uses a whipped topping frosting with vanilla pudding (instant) and strawberry puree...I am not sure of the recipe but when the cake is chilled..it is refreshing and so good.....We call this the ultimate strawberry cake recipe

WOW! I had a similar recipe but this one was sooooo good. Hubby & me ate half of the cake last night & I'm not a sweet eater. Needless to say it didn't bother him but for me a little dab will do ya. Yummy & super easy thanks for sharing!
