2 stk butter
1/2 c criso shortening
3 c sugar
5 eggs
3 c all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 c milk
1 tsp vanilla

Angela's Notes:

This is the best pound cake I have ever put into my mouth. It is so moist! This cake is a great cake for people that is beginning to bake as I am. You can add so much to this cake. Hope everyone enjoys it :)

 

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and shortening together. Add sugar, a little at a time. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Sift together dry ingredients and add to mixture alternately with milk, starting with flour and ending with flour. Add vanilla. Pour into greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Cool for about 10 minutes on a cooling rack, then turn turn onto cake plate.

Sweetheart, this is a basic pound cake, they all start out this way, try some others, girl u don't know what your missing????

I think this pound cake looks delicous, however "basic" it may be. Sometimes the most basic things are the most delicious. I saved this recipe and I plan on adding some lemon extract cuz I love my pound cake to be lemony!
