I purchased this box of premium baking mix for the first time, only becaue it was on the reduced rack for just over $3.00. I figured for three dollars it was worth a try. After baking this moist & tasty cake, I am sure I will buy it again and pay a lot more for it at the regular price. The box will make 3 desserts and has the frosting for each included in the box.

I did add Lorann Orange emulsion to enhance the orange flavor of the cake. This is one of the most moist boxes of dessert mix I have ever bought, and It Is so tasty and delicious. Hope you give this one a try. It taste great.

Ingredients

1 pkg
krusteaz baking mix
3/4 c
water,champagne or mountain dew
10 Tbsp
butter-melted
2 large
eggs,room temperature-my addition
2 tsp
lorann orange emulsion or extract,my addition

TO MAKE THE GLAZE

1 pkg
glaze mix from box
1 1/2-2 Tbsp
water,champagne or mountain dew

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a loaf pan with non stick cooking spray or use Bakers Joy. I used a size 12 X 4 1/2 X 3.125 inch size. This is the baking mix I used, I used one package from the box which will make 3 desserts. NOTE: I USED MOUNTAIN DEW IN BOTH THE CAKE BATTER & THE GLAZE.
2Melt butter in a medium size bowl. Add in the baking mix, eggs, & mountain dew, water or champagne. Add in the orange emulsion or extract. Stir or beat till blended together & batter is smooth.
3Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. These are the main ingredients I used & the candy sprinkles.
4Leave cake in pan 10 minutes.
5Invert onto cake platter or wire rack. When cool. prepare glaze by adding in the liquid and beat until smooth then drizzle over cake as desired.
6Garnish with candy sprinkles, then slice and serve. NOTE: I don't usually use too any boxed mixes, but this one is very good in my opinion.
