Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! These were different than your regular brownies, but good. No one could tell me what was different about them. LOL!

Ingredients For kiss of heat brownies

  • 2/3 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 2 x lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 sm box
    instant chocolate pudding mix, dry
  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp
    instant coffee powder
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/8 - 1/4 c
    milk, if needed
  • SERVE WITH (OPTIONAL):
  • vanilla ice cream
  • whipped cream, sweetened
  • cinnamon, ground
  • cocoa powder

How To Make kiss of heat brownies

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 8" square baking pan.

    Place chocolate & butter in heatproof bowl & set it over simmering water until melted.

    Pour chocolate mixture into stand mixer bowl; add sugar, salt & extract. Stir in eggs, one at a time, until blended after each addition. Add flour, dry pudding, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon & chili; beat until smooth. Add milk, if needed, if batter is too thick; mix well. Pour into pan. NOTES: The coffee brings out the chocolate flavor, while the cinnamon enhances the chili flavor.

    Bake 35 - 40 minutes. Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream & dusted with cinnamon & cocoa powder. Enjoy!
