1Mix together wafers, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup butter. Press into a 9-inch or 9 1/2-inch spring-form pan. Bake for 4 minutes at 375°F.
2Beat the cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups of sugar, and eggs. Pour over crust. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350°F. Cool for 30 minutes.
3Mix together the sour cream, 3 tablespoons sugar, and vanilla. Pour over cheesecake. Bake 3 minutes at 400°F.
4Cool to room temperature and then refrigerate until serving.
