This was a cake my ex- husband used to fix. I think he just made it up. So, I just started fixing it myself. It is quick and easy, just to throw together when company is coming. It is very moist and smells so good. Take it to every dinner and function that I go to. My cake plate is just about licked clean afterwards. Hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.
1Empty cake mix into mixing bowl and follow the directions on the back of the cake mix box. Mix well.
2To the wet mixture, add about half (or a little more) of the contents of icing. Mix well. Pour into tube pan. (I always spray with cooking spray so it won't stick.) Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 mins. or until golden in color or a toothpick comes out clean.
3While the cake is still warm and turned onto cake plate, mix 1 stick of melted butter and powdered sugar, (enough to be a little thick) until combined and spoon over top of warm cake. It runs down the sides and makes it pretty and ohhhhh, so good!!!
