Jo Anne's Notes:

I created this "Dump Cake" when I was 17 years old, a teenage too lazy to follow recipes for my party. Little did I know that this would become one of my go to recipes for "FUN" with the kids and the grandkids!
Be careful though, it's a sugar overload!!!

Directions

1
Follow the directions to make the devil's food cake. Make sure that the finished cake is completely cooled.
2
Follow the directions to make the chocolate and vanilla puddings.
3
You will need a large deep container with a cover.
4
Cut up the devil's food cake and the Sara Lee Pound Cake into 1 inch squares.
5
Crush the Nestle's Crunch Bar, Heath Candy Bar, Cookies and Cream Bar and the Oreo Cookies, and put them in separate containers.
6
Start with tossing in half of the devil's food cake into the bottom of the large container, then use half of the chocolate pudding and layer it onto the devil's food cake.
7
Add 1/4 of all the candies.
8
Then toss in half of the Sara Lee Pound cake over the candy layer, then use half of the vanilla pudding and layer it over the pound cake.
9
Add another 1/4 of all the candies.
10
Start again with the devil's food cake using it all, and using all of the chocolate pudding. Repeating the steps again, using everything.
11
Your top layer will be the whole container of Cool Whip, sprinkle with all the crumbled Oreo Cookies.
12
Cover and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours so that it can set. If you can stand to wait! :+)
13
When you're ready to serve it just use a large spoon and scoop it out.
14
YOU CAN DO A CHANGE UP:
15
Of course, you can mix and match the candies and all the stuffs, it's a dump cake dessert!

What are the sizes? of the instant pudding, toffee bits , nestle crunch, bag of m & m's , health( do you mean heath?), cookies and cream bar and the bag of oreos? This sound like one of the versions of death by chocolate, only the one I ate had brownies in it. I'd like to make it but don't want to assume about the sizes ( you know what they say about that word lol ) I am assuming you mean the size of candy bars that you pick up at the check out. and the smaller size of pudding,

Hi Karen, sorry to inconvenience you. I've corrected the spelling and have added the sizes. I really didn't think that it would matter much since this is a "dump" recipe. Yes, the candy "bar" are the ones that you grab at the checkout and the instant puddings are the smaller 3 oz. ones. Remember, you change up everything in here to what your preferences are. Wow, I'm afraid there's a little too much going on in that cake for my tastes. Interesting recipe, though!

Jo Ann, as you said its a dump cake - tweek it to your own liking - its just a base - add some things, remove others, etc. - just have fun and enjoy it! Life is short - eat dessert first!! lol

An option I tried and kids loved. Strawberries and the glaze with the pound cake(or cut up Yellow cake),Bananas and Vanilla pudding with crushed vanilla wafers, Chocolate cake cut up with chocolate pudding with the heath bits. Kids said tasted like a banana split. Just a thought.
