Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
The only thing that could possibly make this bread better is to pair it with a steaming cup of hot coffee! We used pecans, but this would be great with walnuts too.

Ingredients

2 1/2 c
sugar
2/3 c
vegetable oil
4
eggs
1 (16 ) oz
can pumpkin
2/3 c
water
3 1/3 c
flour
2 tsp
baking soda
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
1 tsp
ground cloves
1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 c
chopped nuts

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees grease bottom only of two loaf pans.

2Mix sugar, eggs, pumpkin, and water in a large bowl, stir in remaining ingredients pour into pans.

3Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool and remove from pans.
